I've searched many forums and even emailed audiotrak tech support, but i haven't found an answer to this question: i want to replace the original jrc4580s on my prodigy 7.1 Hifi, but there are 5 of them, i suppose that they are three, one per each 5.1 channel , one for 7/8 (7.1 rear or headphone output ), and one for microphone input....but how can i idendtify what channels are the amps actually wired to ? I need this information because i want to change only the headphone output opamp ( btw i was considering opa2604 as a replacement ). I'll post a photo i found on the internet showing the card...thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english.

Best replacement for the NJM4580 is AD8022 when soldered on a DIP8 adapter. It works in the HD2 well but when oscillations occur (bad sound, the chip gets hot) use AD8599 instead. No better choices are possible using dual op-amps. Actually it's a matter of preference, AD8599 is a bit warmer with closer vocals, AD8022 is almost transparent on the warm side, say dual AD797.
