Will I get any sound improvement by changing from STX to ST to either the RCA outs or the headphone amp?
I am thinking of swapping anyway because of interference through the PCI-E slot from the graphics card which I think might be lowered / eliminated if I use a standard PCI slot (as it has a different controller to the PCI-E so might work don't know)...
Maybe the STX headphone amp could be a bit smoother in the treble but the RCA outs are pretty much perfect anyway, is there any sound quality difference between the STX and ST?
Also will changing the op amps actually make any difference to the headphone amp quality? Would like to improve bass / soundstage / smoother treble if it is possible?
What about upgrading to an essence STX 2, is that worth it?
