Hey guys,

I actually posted this in the other section (under computer as source) but maybe I'll have better luck here.

I'm in a small apartment in NY and I'm looking to spend under 150 but if people say that a certain speaker is worth the extra dough, i might cough it up.

Here are the speaks that I'm looking at:
Swan m10
Swan d1080mkii
Audioengine A2

Anyone have thoughts and impressions about these?

I'm also interested in a comparison between the Swans and Audioengine A2, so I've bumped this thread. Anyone?
Thanks in advance for your input.

the swans look a lot better than the audioengines. audioengines are ugly.

the blue sky media desk 2.1 and Exo lines seem to be serious contenders for the same price range. anyone have either of these?

Thank you, MatsudaMan, for your reply.

Can you, or someone else, provide some comparison of the audio qualities of the Swans and the Audioengines? Has anyone owned both, or heard both and can provide such points of comparison?

Thanks again, in advance, for your observations and information.

Can you still buy the M10s? And if you want to talk about ugly consider the M12s.

I thought the old M-Audio BX5as (non-deluxe) fell between the A2s and A5s (but much closer to the latter just a little bass shy, but even better imaging). You can find them cheap occasionally but it's getting very rare.

M-Audio*BX5A*::*Active*Studio...

And there looks to be some Deluxe models for under $200 on eBay.
