I own a pair of swan mkIII I think they sound wonderful, but I always wondered how the x300 would compare to the mkIII.
has anyone ever compared the two, would love to here your thoughts.
 
my setup pangea silver usb cable , uber w/gen2 usb bitfost dac with ps audio power cable , audioquest cheetah silver rca cables , pangea 14awg power cord to my mkIII all plugged into an adcom ace power conditioner.

KEFs are well regarded although I've not heard them. I have some Vanatoo Transparent Ones which are priced between yours and the KEFs. They are a nice powered speaker too. There's certainly better equipment to be had for more money. KEF is one of those from what I've read but hopefully a KEF person will find this thread and chime in else maybe search on KEF 300 and see what pops up.
 
I've actually always wanted to hear the Swans as they get good reviews. What do you think you're missing or just ready for change?
