A week or two ago I helped my friend pick out a new 2.1 set up for his computer. We settled on the Swan M10's because they were cheap and had a great reputation here. After hearing them, I decided I'd like a pair for myself, but I went on theaudioinsider.com where he bought them and they aren't listed there anymore. They aren't available on Newegg either now. Does anyone know if they're being discontinued? They're still listed on the manufacturer's site.

I hope not. Those are ugly as sin compared to the M10's.

i agree. The m10 beauty is what initially caught my eye and tempted me to purchase. The m12 looks like its right off the shelf at walmart. It doent look anything like other swan products.

E-mailed The Audio Insider last night and they replied already.

"Not discontinued, just out of stock until late Sept. My advice would be to acquire the M12, the step-up model, as it's currently even cheaper than the M10 will be when it restocks.

Well I've never even read a review for the M12's so I don't know.

As I have two sets of Swans speakers - one being the M10s - and both sound much better than their price belies, I would be pretty confident buying the M12s. However, as been stated, they aren't exactly the nicest looking 2.1 set around.

Can't beat the price though.
