I've been looking for some nice travel headphones and was considering the ATH ESW-9. A search on eBay revealed several auctions for those cans at very low cost. However, something seems very "off" about them. Could this be a run of copies? Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I was wondering if someone that's handled the ESW9 can offer insight.

There is no reason for them to be genuine, they are FAKE as always.

It has been noted here on head-fi that the AT-ESW9 has been faked to the nth degree. If the price is low and too good to be true, I would deem them to be counterfeit. Its good to be paranoid concerning all the fakes, I would just buy them from a reputable AT dealer or used providing the seller can prove them to be the real deal.

I'd bet you anything that those are fake. These are one set that you have to be very cautious when purchasing.

At those prices and with #1 having a 94% feedback and #2 being new to ebay and no refund, it's safe to say that they are fake.

Funnily enough I was look at AT on ebay yesterday and saw a load of these going for £30 shipped. These idiots must put more people off with these silly prices than they attract.
