I have recently bought the kit that you see here http://www.ebay.ie/itm/2-X-150-mW-8-ohm-Class-AB-Headphone-Amplifier-Kit-LM4881-/221019289691?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3375c6b85b#ht_3478wt_1062. Changed the resistors with metal film ones, mica capacitors where changed with ero mkt1822 1uf, got rid of the electrolytic ones with better quality. This kit uses the LM3881 chip.
I'm really amazed by its performance. But i used my own good quality materials & not the cr.. quality .
Has any of you used any of these kits. I will post photos of the whole modification shortly.

this is very helpful, was considering getting this, but likely use the stock items and see how it sounds, will like your further pics etc.
