Just a heads up; while trying to listen to my iPod before class, I noticed no sound in the left ear bud; put little pressure on the connector and sound came back on.  Took the connector out; noticed it was crooked...lightly try to straight it(just so the left side would work), and this happened:

I'm debating whether to fix it myself or, what I want to do, is send it to UE/Logitech to fix(though can't find the box right now to get the SN)

You should just send it back to Logitech. I had a short in the left side of my pair a while back and just sent it in and they sent me a whole new pair of phones.

Sorry about that man :/

If you're under warranty, definitely send it back to logitech. Soldering on a new neutrik plug likely won't even cost as much as shipping the phones will, and certainly will work just as well, but to some people it may lower their resale value a bit should you ever choose to sell the sf5.
