One side of my pair has cracked in half. I want to solder the wires back and try to glue case back together. There are two wires red & green. However the posts that they attach to in the wire portion of the ear piece both leads are silver. Does it matter which wire goes where, if so how can I tell?

Call up UE and see what they say. It might be covered under the warranty. I know mine were.

I did, they were 3 months out. They said they don't fix them & offered me a new pair for 150$. So I thought what do I have to lose by trying to fix them.

There's a 2-year warranty on them the last I heard.

Still, I can't complain about their customer service as they were pretty efficient in providing me with an RMA number. I just hope the replacements are better built, because if you can easily pull off a connection when removing the wires and you aren't being rough at all, then I'm not surprised you've come across a cracked phone problem.

I think $150.00 is pretty high for a replacement as well. Hope someone can provide you with some details on how to fix the wiring.
