I recently purchased UE Super.fi 5 Pro. I'll mainly user it with my 4th gen iPod (click wheel) and without changing any EQ settings. I've yet to actually receive them, but will do so on Saturday. Anyway, I ripped most of my music to my iPod at 160 kbps AAC. Will this be a limiting factor for these headphones? Is it worth re ripping my music at a higher bit rate?

Why don't you give it a try, it won't take you longer then 10 minutes to do so

And this is pretty much very personal, some might think it is enough, others think lossless sound files are the only thing they are hearing...

I took the time and did the test: less than 192kbs AAC had a perceivable impact on quality... I now use 320kbs as it is the best compromise for me (vs. lossless).

Best
