NOTE: Title sucks because I hit the "post" button before I could come up with something more descriptive...or type anything for the actual post. Oops.

After reading a few pages on the Cmoy, I've noticed that many of their builders report premature death from the use of two 9v batteries due to varying discharge rate, and poor crosstalk from using a resistor ladder. There are, of course, many tricks for creating a better grounding circuit, such as that on the Mini^3, but putting one of these on a PCB requires greater skill than I have.

However, while looking for a possible fix to the problem, found this rather nifty example of a virtual ground circuit on the Tangentsoft website, which uses the 741 op-amp - only a buck at Radio Shack .

Would this configuration work well with an OPA2227 op-amp-based Cmoy? Would it produce enough current to use my E3Cs?
