Hi there
 
I'm a total noob when it comes to sound blaster sound cards. Can someone please either share their profiles or guide me how to set it up for gaming, music and movies on my headset and speakers. I have everything connected but I don't know how to get the most out of my HD 598 and this sound card. 
 
How should I configure the control panel of this sound card to get the most out of my audio via the headphones. I have the following
 
Speakers; Logitech Z-5500 connected via analog
Headphones: HD598
Sound Card; Sound Blaster z with latest drivers for creative website.
 
So far this sound card is a beast and i love it but was wondering if I can get more out of it.

You're pretty much set up. Personally, i would disable any and all effects that it might be applying.
And... yeah. That's it. You don't really do anything with a sound card once everything's plugged in.

and for games? What is the best way to get 5.1 on my HD598?

It's personal thing really, I'd disable everything even for games. EDIT:
ahhh.... I already said the same thing @ Guru3D.

But anyway, some like to set windows speaker setup to 5.1 and then enable SBX surround.
