Hi All. The school year is about to be over, and I need to look for a summer job. For the last two years, I worked at a research lab, but now that the project is over, I have no where to go.
I'll be going to college in September, so I want to earn some money to use for expenses during the school year.
The problem is, this would be my first real job. The research internship was unpaid, so that doesn't count.
I really don't know where to look. I've asked friends, but none seem to know anything.
I would prefer to work in an office type setting, but it looks like that won't be possible. I did find a position at a local YMCA as a summer camp counselor, but even for that "lowly" position, I would need to write a resume, which I have never made before. I would rather not be wiping tables.
Does anyone have any advice regarding where to look for a job, and how to make a good resume (although I suppose I could just google the latter request)?
