Hi,

I've recently bought a Marantz SR-4600 receiver. This is my first receiver for a few years, so I'm 'out of touch', with regards to home use headphones. I want to get some 'home phones'.

I've been using an Iriver H140 for portable use, using at different times, my AKG K81DJ, Altec Lansing im716, Xtrememac FS1 and Audio Technica ATH CK7ti. I thoroughly enjoy using them.

I enjoy less, my Sennheiser PX100, and Koss KSC75 (great for the price though).

Other earphones I have are now redundant.

So, I'm looking for comfortable circumaural headphones for home use solely.

A bit of general information, I'd like a pair that are closed / semi-closed, because I will probably listen to them, while my wife is watching TV. Also, I don't want to disturb her too much with my music.

I listen to rock, house music, and electronica. I never listen to classical or Jazz. A reasonably good soundstage is important too.

Many years ago I used Stax SR-84, which were bliss for me (especially for Pink Floyd).

My budget doesn't run to a pair of Stax again (loved them, really did).

I'd really appreciate some suggestions from you experienced guys, as to what would suit my type of music.

My budget is UPTO $300.

Thanks in advance.
