What's the best set of headphones for under $100, something with a strong bass for my cd player.

I'm thnking about buying these MDR-V600 for $69.95 on ebay..do you think I should?

Grado SR80 and Senn HD485 have good amount of bass IMO.

Don't know how these compare to the Sonys though.

The V600 is supposed to be pretty crappy... consider the Sony V6 (or MDR-7506 for the pro version) instead. The AKG K240S is also a nice headphone for bassheads.

senn. hd212 pro. my first good pair of headphones, and they have very solid bass. only about 50 bucks too.

Koss portaPro and AKG k240s, 49.99 and 89.99 respectivly. Awesome headphones, both of them.

For BIG

BASS - AKG 240s
For deep extended bass - Sennheiser HD 280 Pro (keep in mind that many people complain about the lack of a mid bass hump in the 280).

akg 26p or 27. Over emphasised bass, but good portable bass headphones. I don't own em but they seem the go but maybe you wanna spend a bit more than $50 and get something more decent.

Not sure if you are interested in canalphones but the new Sennheiser CX300's have incredible bass.

Is the bass on the 240 S bloated and muddy, or is it tight and rifined? I'm looking for a sub $100 pair of headphones to compliment my A700s. All I really want is a nice mid-range, and well AKG is famous for their, supposedly, superior mid-range sound.
