I do not want the 'wire goes up and over around your ear' thing. Only the wire going straight down would work. No microphone is needed, normal headphone cord is preferred. Durability is important. I'm looking for something under $60 usd shipped in the US. What would make a good option?

See if you can grab the Moondrop Aria, still a very good IEM under $100 IMO.

Simgot EA500 has decent build quality under 100. Good sounding. They are running sale on EA500 now. You can check it it AliExpress.

The Simgot and Moondrop Aria both go over the ear, which OP doesn't want.

Final Audio E500, E1000, E2000, E3000 are all under $60. They don't have detachable/replaceable cables, though -- which may be a consideration regarding durability.

OP could also try inexpensive "piston"-style IEMs, like the Xiaomi Piston 3 or a lot of models made by 1More -- again, no detachable cables, but cheap to replace entirely if they break.

The Moondrop CHU is $20 and on amazon so you don't need to go over aliexpress unless you want to. Non-detachable cable, but the cable can be worn down or around the ears
