i never thought i would get into pop music but i've seen enough anime to know there is some pretty good stuff out there. i just don't know who the good ones are by name. does anyone know any good female pop singers from japan, preferably with a sexy, breathy voice (i have a song i heard on internet radio in mind but don't know who it is)?

A sexy, breathy voice? Let's see, right off-hand I would say Maaya Sakamoto, Faye Wong, Coco Lee, and Akino Arai. And I always recommend Megumi Hayashibara.

LOL, Coco Lee and Faye Wong are not from Japan. Anyways I would recomment Hikaru Utada. That's the only one I know of.
