with or without vocals.
But also, a smooth melodic sound.
Preferably more warm friendly sounds.

In electronic music types, I like ATB, moby, infected mushroom if that helps.

I would check out Conjure One. They are pretty electronic with more of the vocal instrumental sound.

Very warm and fuzzy.

ES posthumus is also a good one. Not electronic at all but still more of that warm vocal instrumental stuff.

Damage by Roger Eno and Lol Hammond. Some good themes, but on the whole doesn't live up to Roger Eno's other, non-trance, music.

Glyph by Harold Budd and Hector Zazou -- not all piano, not all trance, and not always smooth going, but at least it is daring and experimental, and sometimes the results -- like the first track -- are brillant.

Goldie, his 'timeless' album has some beautiful piano over sea sounds and electronic music.

edit: by coincidence, moby's 'blue paper' track was just playing and this has piano in it, off the hotel CD

edit: another track playing now had reminded me also of another artist/album, ultrasonic "global tekno" piano in there with melodic hardcore/dance.
