Hey guys,

Im wondering who else out there has modded their headphones for use with 4-pin XLR....And if I should go with a full recable or just a retermination? I am a bit apprehensive to have my cans opened up and messed around with for a recable, but also think I would not get as much benefit from a simple retermination.

btw the headphones I have are the Beyer Manufaktur dt880 600ohms just purchased 3 weeks ago, going to be using them with a Audio-gd Roc.


Also does anyone have suggestions on what is the best company to get it recabled? Or your thoughts on the company you did your recable/retermination with? (quick turnaround time?)

Cables are all subjective. Most cannot tell a difference between them though. I would personally go with just re-termination, but a full recable may be the way to go if you have the funds. Headphile and APureSound would be good places to look into.
