Ok im looking to move from onboard sound to something better. My current headphones are sennheiser HD595's and i have no amp. MY budget would probably be about 100$. Willing to go some more if you can conivnce me thers a reason to. Needs to be good in gaming as well as music with about equal importance. Are any of there worth getting? Refurbished Creative Open to any suggestions though.

Either Audigy 2ZS or Revo 5.1. The 2ZS means more fuss when it comes to music (resampling etc., and it's not that terrific sounding in general), while the Revo won't be as speedy in games. Possibly throw a Prodigy 7.1LT into the mix as well (I like the Audiotrak driver support).

I usually recommend m-audio 5.1 for beginners, it has a nice little amp built in for people without one, and the sound quality is great.
