Hey Everybody,

I tried the search feature for this topic but the search
pop up window was not accepting my text input WEIRD!

Can you please suggest SONGS with extreme BASS IMPACT/SLAM/BOOM/CRASH/etc. I just recieved
my first headphone AMP and I want to test it with
music with extreme BASS IMPACT. (If this topic has
been covered already, please politely post a link
to the appropriate threads.)

I don't have any RAP or Hip-Hop, can you all please
suggest some good music with BASS to test my new
AMP and audio setup.

THANK YOU!

I was once fortunate enough to hear the world's greatest audiophile amplifier, the Halcro monoblocks driving some giant speakers.

For bass, the retailer played for me the Abinoni Adagio with Gary Carr playing the main line on the string bass. That and the organ pedals had huge impact.

Another common suggestion is the cannon in the 1812 overture.

Any big-beat electronica will do. I like Crystal Method, but Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Fluke, or Fatboy Slim would work equally well.

Electronica also tends to test mids and highs pretty well too.

Specifically (in order of musthavedness):

X-Ecutioners - Like This : A couple of good breakdowns with some of the lowest bass I have heard in a song. A damn good song that is a must have for bass.
Massive Attack feat. Mos Def - I Against I : A BIG bass beat
Prodigy - Climbatize : An atmospheric buildup to a mighty bassline rumble
Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up : A strong bass drum
Outkast - Bombs Over Baghdad : Fast bass - good for listening for crispness
Maroon 5 - Harder To Breathe : A nice bass drum, good for a rock song
50 Cent - In Da Club : Another nice bass beat.

Enjoy!

If you want rap bass then I'd recommend Marley Marley, one of the best rap producers ever lived. "Marley Marl - The Best Of Cold Chillin' (In Control vol.1&2)" the bass is crazy on almost every track

and by the way the music itself is "pure T. Montana dope"
