Having read Head Fi avidly for the past 6 months or so, I have listened through so many headphones, I've become really choosy about what I listen on.

I've come to a halt with three: Grado 225 - loads of top end. Beyer dt770 loads of bottom end. Senn 595 somewhere in the middle.

For an extra tweek ...... is there a decent portable equalizer available for connection to DAPs?

I've seen plenty of home units and one funny little Koss 3 bander, but I want to try something a bit better.

IMHO, For portability it's best to have the equalizer built into the portable such as the new Sony's DCDP's and the Iaudio 5 DAP. They provide adjustable equalization, not just presets.
