Seriously though, you think reading 50 pages is tough? Try reading 174 pages of the Ultrasone HFI-780 thread, which was worth doing, as most of my questions were answered.

I don't get it, why would a three-page thread be better than a 50-page one? I mean, you can always just read the three pages and then be satisfied with it. Maybe it is the feeling that you will miss something if you don't read the whole thread?

I wouldn't have a problem if the threads were ten times longer, specially the UE-11 thread as I love reading about them.

The charm with long threads is that you often see the journeys each user makes as he/she goes from first acquiring some gear, warming up to it, burning it in, and the comments they make along each step of the way.
