Subwoofer question: Using two different model Subwoofers in a 7.2 setup

I recently moved and am in the process of setting up my older home theater while making a few upgrades. The new home theater room is much larger than my old one and I would like to add a subwoofer to help balance out the bass response for the entire room.
 
I have an old Jamo subwoofer that is enclosed and sounds awesome. I'm looking at the Klipsch RW-12II because I can get a great deal on it (roughly $250 instead of the normal $500). The Klipsch is a front firing sub while the Jamo E6 is a rear firing.

The fact that one sub is front firing and the other is rear firing doesn't matter. Generally the idea is to use two matching subs because (a) it's just easier to integrate them and (b) because the lesser sub will still reach its limits before the more powerful sub.

The Jamo E6 is a small 100 watt 10" subwoofer. Assuming that the Klipsch RW-12II is as good as it predecessor, the RW-12d, you'll have a huge mismatch in max output capability. If you room is very large, the E6 may become overwhelmed at higher volumes--certainly long before the RW-12II would. Best situation for mismatched subs like that would be to put the E6 nearfield (3 or 4 ft away from the listening position) and the Klipsch up front in the sound stage. That way the E6 wouldn't have to work as hard to achieve the same volume to your ears as the Klipsch would.

Of course a lot of the advice given depends on you having the required resources to hand. Which you might not have. It'll give you ideas though and all you really need is a mic, a decent software EQ/filter package and suitable controls for the subs.
 
Your best bet would appear to be setting up the system as best you can with the first sub. Then finding where the nulls are and plugging them with the 2nd sub.
