I have a the m audio av42 and wanted to get an inexpensive sub as i am a 'bass head'. I have also heard about amps but not sure weather it's needed or which ones to get.

I'm looking at the wharfedale sw150 and it looks quite good but not sure kn connections

I am connecting all of this to my pc which has the gigabyte z87 d3hp

The SW150 has its own amplifier built into the cabinet.

You can use the C/Sub audio jack on the motherboard.

Could I used my logitech z5500 subwoofer and use it to power a set of Keff q100 bookshelf speakers?

Can you wire it up? Probably.

Will it even make an audible sound? I wouldn't bet on it.

Will it sound good if it makes an audible sound? I'd be surprised if it's even audible.
