I Want to get a Sub that will work with mackies mr5s budget is 250. i dont know what is a good one or what type of sub i need.

There are cheap subs and there are good subs - pick one. IMO, 250 wont get you a decent powered subwoofer. Mauricio is the reigning expert on active speakers.
