here is the deal
i am looking for a set of headphones to give to my sister for christmas
i have $50 to spend and she will be using them out of a 1st gen ipod nano
i was considering the ksc75 or an sr60 but i dont think she will like them because of the whole uglyness thing.

any ideas?

I'd say Senn PX100 or PX200, depending on whether she wants open or closed. PMX100/200 if she prefers the Street Style design.
