I currently use the monoprice iem earphones and would like to upgrade or really just to find smething new.

Sorry to say, but the shures are outdated. Now they're a pair of medicore iems with the only advantages being having a replaceable cable and comfort. There are many good iems that far surpass it in sound quality for the same price range.
