[Ghigguls]

Hi Head-Fi! I was looking around on Uncle Wilson's Superstore website and saw this funny looking styleaudio carat amp. I've never seen this amp before and was wondering if anybody had any experience with it. Thanks

i believe it is a dac and not a portable amp

It is an DAC and an Amp, but it is not portable, it doesnt use batteries.
That specific model (Carat UD1) is not so good, it is ok but not really magic. If you want a really good one check the Carat Emerald (Peridot) or Carat Topaz (Ruby). i enjoyed them both

FYI--The Emerald and Peridot are different models, so are the Topaz and Ruby.
