Hi folks
My current setup is a Samsung series 5 ultra I5 laptop + Teac A H01 and a pair of Q aqcoustics 2020i.

I started to noticed stutter or skipping every 10 minutes and i found that really irritating.

Does anyone know what happen and how can this be solved?
  Thanks

What OS are you running?

Does this problem occur with all known USB ports?

Does the problem occur only after the music / sound has not been playing for a while?

You can try to turn off Power Management on all of you USB Root Hubs.

What exactly are you listening to when the problem occurs: CD, MP3, streaming?

Hi there to the guy from liverpool

Unfortunately mate the problem is with the TEAC that you have (i'm 95% sure). It uses a rubbish USB implementation chipset, a Tenon TE808 I think which is full of issues. I've come across the u-h01 and for my computer to even play music it would require me to install drivers and thereafter enter into a series of problems.

Nice laptop though. I was going to get this but I chose the acer s3 (that I'm typing on) instead. Design and better screen for movies was what made me choose this one over the samsung.

I was just dealing with this issue in another thread on a brand new Ultrabook I got...

Try downloading this http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml and run it and see what your latency is.   If its more than 200-500 then you have something causing issues in the background.   Open device manager and one by one, disable sound, network, USB, etc drivers and watch the latency levels.   If you disable something and the latency drops, then you just found your problem driver.

For starters MAKE SURE you have ALL the latest drivers for your system and nothing in device manager is coming up "unknown"

Another thing you can try is running Latency Mon or Monitor and look at the drivers section and it might point out what system file or driver is getting the most hits and that is where to start looking....

I solved my issue by switching to Win7 from Win8 and now I have NO issues, but your situation might be different....

Hope this helps

What software do you use for playback? You should use foobar2000 and then install wasapi.

WASAPI output support

Adds Windows Audio Session API exclusive mode output support, allowing bit-exact output and muting all other sounds.

+1

Good advice if you do not know how to install the API yourself.
