in a similar situation, the cranberry-red imp-400 is still more expensive than the sluver one at J&R.

If the pink were...let's say...$30-70 cheaper than the rest I'd get it. Or if I was buying it for one of my guy friends..pink all the way!

Blue? SILVER?? Wow, you guys are so incredibly boring.... Lime for me!! Or pink maybe? I'd have to see them in real life to assess the gayness of the two. There's a fine line between having people look at you smiling, thinking you're brave and funny, and having them wonder if you're gay or need to cover your denial by making fun of the subject in such an odd way.

IMHO they should just make it white, then for $25 or so extra they will paint it and give you ~100 options instead of 5.

i.e.
The "Look at me, I'm gay!" one which is blue with yellow bunnies
The "What do you mean the 70s are over?" tie-dye one
The "I'm a PIMP" shiney gold one
The "Bling-Bling" shiney silver one
The "im 2 ghetto 4 paint" grey primer one
The "I'm grunge" rusted steel one
The "I listen to Classical" wood-grain one
The "Creativity? What does this word mean?" white one.
The "70s Hi-Fi" shiney black and chrome one with white bold print and green backlight
The "Other 70s Hi-Fi" brushed steel one with black cursive print and yellow backlight
Then of course ones for sport teams for those silly "sport fans"

iPods are great because the UI, sound quality, and portability all inside a stylish case.

The mini is no exception. When I hold it next to my 3rd gen, it looks overgrown.

I can also stick this thing in my pocket and it just *disappears*

I first planned on getting Silver, but then I ordered Green, and today I canceld my order. Amazon doesn't have a clue when they will be available to ship, and I'm moving at the end of this week. Hopefully g.4 iPods will adopt this design, most everyone who has one seems to love it.

lucked out and found a blue one at bestbuy. lucked out even more when they price matched my apple educational discount. Baq the silver went and I now have a blue one.

I ordered Blue for my mini. That way it will match the color of my....ahem...."equipment" if my girlfriend does not receive her Pink one soon (it was a Valentine's Day gift).

austonia, my Blue one shipped from amazon at the end of last week and should be at my place today or tomorrow. Too bad I am in LA on business this week. I had ordered it close to MacWorld and was probably on the top of the waiting list. My gues is you should be able to get one in the coming few days.

Dang it. I thought I'd certainly get the blue when I have enough money to order one, but now the green is looking really tempting. And I got the 20 gig only a month ago! Must...resist.
