Just wanted to be sure, what is the actual capacity of the iHP-120? Is it 18.5GB, like the 20GB iPod?

It's almost certainly somewhere around that.

I don't know exactly, because I haven't looked into the menus deeply enough to find where it tells you how much space you have and how much you're using, the way the iPod does -- or even if the iHP does that. But I have read some threads on the Nordic iRiver forum where people have "discovered" that the actual capacity is somewhat less than what they say it is.

Sorry, it did occur to me I should clarify but I thought, naaah...
I'm buying from Amazon UK, (£244.99 inc postage) and based on a the little research I've done it is much cheaper than almost anywhere else. Thanks for your concern though!

take any hard drive spec (like 10gb) and mulitply it by .925 and that's a good approximation of the real available space.
