I've been playing with Dolby 5.1 over headphones for a couple of days now and thought I would share the technique here.

First thing to do is download and install a shareware music editor called "Reaper".

This is the host for the Dolby 5.1 headphone dll.

Once you have done that go to the site below and follow the directions.

It takes a little effort to set up, but it costs way less than a new set of cans.

The dolby headphone dll certainly does something to the sound, some songs I prefer it on over others.

A few hints, when you get Reaper open, go to Insert and then Media File to get your music into Reaper.

When your song comes up in a track, there is a little button just a little to the right of the song title in the track. The button is labeled "FX", when you hit it the plugin window should show up and you'll find the Tasty Mousakas VST plug in.

Hmm... The Tasty Mousakas wrap works with Wavosaur, which is easy to do batch files with.

You can process as many files as you like in the background..

Over a hundred people have looked at this and no one has tried it yet?

Dolby has been a leader in psychoacoustics for a long time..
