Searching for some headphones for producing electronic music as well as general listening. I was thinking of buying either DT770 PRO 32ohm, ATH-M50 or SRH840 whats your opinion. My budget is $100 - $300 open to suggestions but they must be closed back, over the ear and be able to be driven by a Macbook Pro and iPhone.

MDR-V6

M50's are nice, but price is too high and comfort is a issue.

Also look up some Pearstone Velour pads for the MDR-V6. They are well worth the $20

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I recently stumbled upon the Audio Technica WS55 headphones that are said to be good headphones with great solid bass does anyone think these would make good studio headphones for producing dubstep/house music?

My vote goes for the M50 or the SHR840's. The DT770 is too bassy/muddy for mixing, IMO.

I can recommend the GMP 8.35, http://www.head-fi.org/t/406658/the-german-maestro-gmp-8-35-d-monitor-in-the-studio-serious-about-audio-indeed
The GMP 8.35 are great close monitor hps, but they are not replacement for the K702. BTW, in some point for the K702, you'll need some hps amp.
