I'm stuck in my upgrading..

I no longer know what to do anymore..

I have a hd 555 with an x-fi xtreme music as a source..

I listen to a variety of music from classical to electronic to pop and even some rock

I love the sound of my hd555s but what can I do now to move on to something else better?

amps? cans? for sourcing I prefer to keep my x-fi.... other than that.. I don't want to make such a large stride now and break my wallet but get parts that leave me very upgradeable and flexible in the future.. so what would it be?

cans first or the amp first?

I won't be traveling with any of this equipment..

I looked into the akg701 and the hd600..

my budget is sub 300 for now..

advice would be much appreciated.
