So you are going to have both X2 and 599-s at your disposal? Are we going to hear your impressions on them? :)

Sim, amazon diz que o x2 deve estar aqui amanhã, assim como o 599's. Eu realmente espero que o 599 é mais do que apenas um 598 redesenhado.

Any update on the cans? I'm stuck here as well. Someone has recommended the 599's over the 650's to me. I was considering the k7xx but came to the conclusion the 650's better matched me. Then was informed the 599's had a better soundstage.

Have not heard the 599's but I can say the 650's are lacking in soundstage but do make up for it in overall tone and detail and musicality if you are looking for a slightly warmer headphone. They are great out of a Bottlehead Crack. It has been awhile since I heard the 7xx's so I hate to comment on them.

If you listen to primarily jazz, classical, or other acoustic music, I would steer you toward the HD600, which is positively joyous for these genres.

I find it hard to buy the hd-650 when the hd6xx is so much cheaper. Even cheaper than used hd650's. The k7xx is same price as the Hifiman he-400s. The 400s don't appear to come up on the used market much but there are a lot of used k7xx. Leads me to believe for $200 shipped I should snag the 400s up. The 6xx may never come again. Any thoughts?

One thing about the 400S is they don't need a amp as the 650's do.

The price range you are in the headphones with large sound stage tend to be a bit bass light. And if you step up the price most of the time to get the bass to come in clean an amp will be required. There are exceptions to this amp requirement but they are significantly more expensive lcdx, hex and the new mr speakers aeon has good impressions. Aeons might be a good choice if you have a way around vat as the price without it is only just above your range.

I have HD599 for use in movies, but I lack soundstage, dynamic to the big surround, I think of changing to the fidelio X2 or HD600 what do they think?
Sorry for bad English.
Thank you.

HD600 has little soundstage.

Bigger than HD600

With the Fidelio X1/2 you'll get:
- BIG punchy bass
- Big but not airy soundstage
- Cohesive mids
- Some low treble sparkle
- Top notch looks and feel

It's a fun sounding headphone, not a technical marvel or a studio tool.
If you want a big, warm, punchy sound then it's a nice pick.
