Well I assume this post will get moved, but I couldn't help tapping into the brains of those who couldn't care about computer audio.
Currently I have spent a lot of money since 2005 on using an M-Audio Audiophile USB-> Top of the line META42 for headphone usage. Clearly the Meta42 is not the way to go these days, but I still can't find a reason to upgrade.
Anyway, my trouble is I just bought a Auzentech Prelude which sound similar, if not better, out of the box. I can't help but feel like my Meta42 investment is trash or if I'm crazy. I'm looking for all suggestions, as I want the best sound possible for my DT770's and ER-6's.
