I'm currently looking for an on-ear portable headphone (not a great fan of in-ear), so i went to local headphone store to try out these two headphone.
 
The first headphone I'm trying with is DT 1350. The source is just my blackberry playing FLAC, the sound was like my blackberry don't have enough juice to drive the DT 1350, so i asked for an amp, and the sound just went better. The shop is offering DT 1350 + GoVibe Martini Amp as a package, I juz need to pay for the price of DT 1350 and i will get a free Govibe amp.
 
Of, course, the second was ESW 9. I love the audio technica vocal sound, i juz love it, but I mostly listen many genre, the ESW 9 not perform very well as DT 1350. The structure and material attract me alot, the wooden backcover, lamb leather finishing and earpad. But for me, the maintenance is higher because replace the earpad is quite expensive.
 
Question:

• Any users of these two headphone? Please give some opinion
  
• Do a DAC improve sound quality? (juz tried amp, haven't try a DAC) 
• GoVibe Martini and FiiO E7, which is better?

The DT1350 is quite efficient and doesn't really require amping. Although when I tried them out of the Nuforce uDAC's headphone out, bass punch and power went up a little notch.

when i compared it to senn hd 25, i found dt 1350 is better
