I recently got a few versions of the Alpine Symphony, and my favorite version is by far the Deutsche Gramaphon 1981 version by Karajan. However, I have come across better sounding versions by Previn and the Lso. However, both lack the timing and precision of Karajan. Are there any SACDs or DVD-As of this majestic masterpiece worth a listen?
