Well the title pretty much sums it up, but to expand on that...
I got this pair of Fostex Te-03's last week, and since day one have been having a problem that I've never experienced with any other IEM or headphone: when I play drums, the audio is constantly cutting in and out, randomly in one ear or the other. I specify when I play drums, because I took them running and have jumped around with them and played with the cable and have not been able to replicate the problem. Meanwhile a good crack on the snare or toms will set it off almost without fail. I've tried different tips to no avail, including the tips I use on my Heir 4.ai's and have zero issues with. Has anyone experienced this or something similar?
For a minute I thought it might be auditory on my part, but if I hit the snare drum once, I can clearly hear the audio come back in maybe 25ms after the hit.
