There are no special loops. This only happens when the wallpower is on. With the batteries, the amp is totally and completely off and measures zeroes, so the switch in the RK097 must be working. The Tread outputs 24.6 volts dead on. I guess if I really get worried about it enough to take it apart again, I could measure voltage on only the negative side of the tread only and the negative lead into the amp to an independent ground. The amp is definitely off. No noises come through the headphones.

I guess if AMB has experienced things such as this, I can go with that. I just like to figure out how strange little things like this happen.
