Hey there.
Scored myself some beautiful old Elega headphones. But they come with a jack (?) plug type I've never seen before. Was hoping maybe someone here could tell what that thing is.

It's visible at bottom right pane in picture. I was told it's something like type 110, whatever it means. Google doesn't help here.
Can I use it with standard equipment with trs inputs? If not then what do I need? Can I easily convert this into a more common jack type?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay so after some more stubborn search I've discovered that this is a Bantam/TT plug type, one usually used in military-grade patchbays and heavy duty studio applications.
I must admit - never heard of this before now.

So now I wonder if it's easy to change this into a standard jack plug. Hopefully yes :).

I got the headphones and the plug is just as described - Bantam or B-gauge.
But I've run into some trouble figuring out how to convert it into standard jack.

The cable has only two cores - red and blue. And from what I could gather it matches with how Bantam plugs are soldered - one into tip and one into ring. But where does sleeve connection come from? How can I solder a standard jack to this when I have no 'earth' cable?

Here's how Neutrik describes soldering their Bantam plugs: http://www.neutrik.com/zoolu-website/media/download/118/Assembly+Instruction+-+0-173%27%27+Bantam+Type+Miniature+Plug+-+NP3TT-P
And here is some other image I've found:
