It seems a lot of Head-Fiers experiment with different mods on IEMs & Tips.
Please post your "Strange & Interesting" Mods here, describing how, why & result in terms of SQ.
Pictures are more fun than text, so if you have pics, please post them.
I will start:
RE0 TIP STUFFING: An enhancement to the foam in the nozzle of the RE0s. Result depends on how much you STUFF them and the density of the sponge.
RESULTING SQ:
More kick in the low end, Low to mids are warmer, Highs smoother, Clarity still Good, Soundstage maybe slightly less.
I enjoy listening with this mod as it produces a warmer sound signature and gives me heaps of bottom end kick from my walkman (with clear bass up). Maybe I am a Bass Head
RE0 large bi flange with 2nd flange trimmed of (for better fit) and stuffed with very porous washing up sponge.
Same again, but with Meelec M11 small bi flange.
