Hello everyone, sorry for the vague topic title. I wanted to address an issue that came up when I was using my headphones. When I connect the headphone cable into the amplifier, I do so by connecting to an extended cable that is directly connected to the amp, so essentially I have two cables, the normal one connected to the headphones, and the other extended cable that runs from the amp. My other headphones play audio with no issues with the extended cable, but with my Vmoda M100, I notice that the audio is very hollow sounding and any vocals or voices becoming extremely quiet and near impossible to hear. I tried using a 1/4 adapter that plugs directly from the headphone cable to the amp and the problem is fixed. It's only when I use an extended cable to my headphone cable that the audio becomes muted and distorted with this headphone.
Can anyone suggest why this might be happening? Maybe an impedance issue with the added extended cable? Thank you for any help.
