I am fairly intrigued by Stax after reading about them on Head-Fi here. However, I don't want to deal with the hassle of buying from AC2 then selling them if I decided that I don't like the electrost. sound.

That being said, is there a hi-fi store around SF Peninsula that carries Stax so I can go in and have a listen before I decide on that path or not?

I am not aware of any dealers in the Bay Area that carry Stax. You should talk to Todd at ttvj.com.

There are a few STAX owners in the Bay area. Take a look at the meetings threads and get yourself to a gathering if you can.
