I also searched for some used equipment, and found some Cyrus III's for really low prices. Does anyone ever tried them with this amp?

It seems the prices in the used market are now exceptionally low for hifi.

Nope, I was looking online, and then read about the 10.2 SE, and then about the Virtue Two.2 amp etc. You know how it goes, there is always a 'better' amp, which is 'a world of difference' compared to the other. Sometime's this hobby can suck. For now I'm looking into the Cyrus 6XPd, because it is very highly praised, can also run my speakers very well, and has great upgrade options. I'm going to build myself a mid-hi hifi set, and don't want to be spending anymore money on so-so products.

Trends is cheap, yes, but I just wonder, cos never tried myself, how well he will drive your speakers. Anyway, see you back with some K1000 impressions as well.

I first have to sell my Phonitor and one of my guitar amps, before I will upgrade my system.

Not getting the Trends, gonna keep saving for a better amp (not just for my K1000, but also for my speakers).

Hmm, have now tried 3 denon amp's. A ADV-700, which seems most musical, but loses some detail. A RCD-M38 which sounds more detailed, little less smooth. And finally a AVR-1404, which can sound a bit digital and harsh, works good with my bass-heavy pair, but not good with my normal pair.

Ok I got the Cyrus amp, all I can say is WOW. What a big difference! Sound is much more spacious, clearer, musical and fluid! I didn't think my K1000's would be able to produce such a different sound from an amp! Also received a much much shorter speaker cable today, which also helped (checked on the previous amp). So my conclusion, Cyrus + K1000, recommended!

Its a Cyrus III, I got a good deal on it. Its for my system at my computer. I have just worked out a deal to trade my SPL Phonitor for a Unison Research Unico amp, so that will drive my speakers and K1000 at my living room.
