Still Cannot Decide!!!!!

After finally getting to demo a pair, I would say the Audio Technica ES7 are a great pair of closed, fairly comfortable headphones that sound great for rock and run about $100 online.

That, and they look really cool. Do a search to find out more.

And this may help as well. Different opinion, but will give you a place to start.

Good luck,

Nylan

The Denon D100 are only $100 and are great for rock! Skylab did a lengthy review and put the Denon's above the ES7. I think the only headphone he ranked above them (at the ~$150 level) was the HD25-I, but they are lot more expensive now that the Denons have dropped in price.

have a real hunt around, and get the Senn HD25-1's. the D1000's are nice, bit shy on the bass, but supremely comfortable.

True enough, but not great in the portability department. Of course, if their size doesn't bother the OP, then they are a good way to go.
