The last few months since I've bought my HJE900s have been bliss especially considering how rough I am with my gear. Between being stepped on concrete floors, thrown out or a window (accident), and tossing them around my room and pocket with my D2 and apartment keys they still shine like new with no scratches and have exceed my sonic needs however....The buds are made of zirconium but the cable certainly isn't.

I have the signal dropping out between the left and right channel and buzzing from time to time (very annoying) first I suspected the buds but then found the cable connectors are bent like hell from my treatment

Go figures right well it isn't as bad as it seems I can call up Panasonic and get a replacement but my eyes shot wide this morning when I realized I could recable them for the better. So given these have the same connector as the SA6 is it a good idea to capitalize on this opportunity and recable with something better or is it even possible?
