I just saw this a few days ago on gearslutz and thought it might be interesting for some here too:
https://stevenslateaudio.com/vsx
It's a combination of a supposedly flat headphone (with beryllium (coated?) drivers) and a software to model different rooms and headphones to aid/improve the process of mixing with headphones. Now there are some other companies who tried to do that (Waves..) but i think they failed. If it's good enough for sound engineers it might quite fun for the audiophile too.
There is a big discussion on gearslutz which you can find here:
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/new...ring-rooms-cars-clubs-boomboxes-amp-more.html
(hope it's ok to post links to other forums)
Steven Slate mentions that the tuning of the software and headphone took over a year to accomplish.
Price is 479$ and there is a rent option for US Customers.
