I've read the review at enjoythemusic.com, but has anyone else had a chance to compare these 2 digital cables?

My only concern in not getting the newer version woud be if it were less "sharp" in the treble. (I'm currently trying out the older version. along with the ACK! cable and the Canare cable sold by Benchmark, with the Benchamark DAC1 and Beyer DT990s- as you can guess, I like it a bit on the leaner/cooler/brighter side.)

Also, is there any other cable in this pricer range I should consider?

Thanks for the input in advance.

I owned both at one time when I had 3 Dacs in house, XV2 sounds very similar to XV only a little better in all areas as detailed in the professional review you list. Another plus is better construction materials for new XV2, the shrink tubing is thicker and offers better support at ends of cable.......I have heard nothing better at anywhere near this price for digital cable.

Before I got Stereovox digital cables I was using Acoustic Zen Mc2 and various glass toslink cables
